Nazarré Merchant, (PhD, Linguistics, Rutgers 2008), Professor of Mathematics at Eckerd College, he/him. My main research interests are in the formal structure of linguistic theories, with a particular focus on Optimality Theory. Additional interests include the following.
  • Computational Linguistics
  • Formal structure of Optimality Theory and Harmonic Serialism
  • Learning algorithms for generative linguistic theories
  • Computational tools for theoretical linguists
  • Shader and graphics programming
